A bit of background...
Over the past 3 years Mark has written four children's books about 'taboos, loos & no. 2s' the first of which is to be published July 21st 2023...
Prior to focussing on his books, Mark built a successful career in tourism publishing then sold his business back in 2002 remaining CEO and publisher for what went on to be the world's largest visitor guide publishing house.
Now an author of inclusive, humorous, engaging & educational children's books about taboos, loos & no. 2s, he also manages the PR for a mountain village in Corfu, Old Perithia that he and his wife bought back to life between 2010 & 2022.
He's also a yogi & part time traditional sourdough baker of 7 years, on the advisory board of the Anglo-Netherlands Society and trustee of a private charity.
Since he sold his tourism publishing portfolio to MVP, making it the world's largest tourism publisher, Mark became involved in the early stages and evolution of the leading company to enable mobile devices to read QR & DM codes.
He then went on to publish & produce 'The Official Wimbledon Souvenir Guide' & the passion project, 'The Guide to Old Perithia, Corfu's Oldest Village*', as well as various contract publications for children. He brought the first 3 editions of a 'lost' children's book series to life (foreword by Julian Fellowes.)
Additionally, he is a shareholder at ABC of Opera, introducing children to Opera through a series books & educational projects.
*Back in 2010 he restored 3 ruins as the award-winning Merchant’s House Boutique Hotel/B&B in Old Perithia. No.1 on TripAdvisor B&Bs for 7 years in a row & the Travellers' Choice Award winner.

Based in West Hampstead in London, Mark is also on the Advisory Board of the Anglo-Netherlands Society and is a trustee of the P&HFF Charitable Trust. His wife Saskia is a leading Dutch voice-over/director & they have 2 children Christiaan, who works with Hotjar but also writes & performs comedy, having studied Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris, and Gemma who recently went from Events production to now teaching at The Harris Academy in Eltham.
